The author tells the story of her husband, Douglas Parsons who has a genetic form of Frontotemporal Dementia. It reflects her family's journey - their fears and hope as they face together the challenge associated with Doug's care and protection. She explains what happens when a person acquires FTD, family reactions and shares the tears and even humor that is a part of surviving and coping when a loved one has the disease.

Linda majored in music and elementary education at Malone College, Canton, Ohio. She is an ordained Minister of Music, a piano teacher, composer of music, drama and poetry. She has served for the past 13 years as the Church Musician at Peace United Methodist Church in Louisville, Ohio. She and Douglas are the parents of four adult children, Steven, James (Elizabeth), and David Parsons and Laura Parsons Lytle.
