About this Book:

This book is a guide for anyone entering, re-entering, changing careers or unemployed in the job market. The author tells what the Job Counselors and Human Resource Departments don't and what the management schools don't teach. You need an anchor for stability and personal radar to guide you through stormy seas and the fogs of information overload. You cannot escape personal responsibility regardless of how hard you try. You are the only one who can be "the master of your fate and the captain of your soul". The book concludes with why persistence, determination, and ignoring the myths of impossible dreams enable job seekers to achieve success in both their job and their life.

About the Author:

Carroll V. Kroeger of Franklin, Tennessee writes from 86 years of worldwide experience. His career includes working as a naval officer, engineer, management consultant, senior advisor to international firms, and as a university educator. He is a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He earned a BA and MBA from Vanderbilt University. He has been married to his lovely wife, Grace, for 65 years. He is author of "Turning Points - Observations from Life in the Real World", and "Mining Riches in the 'Golden Years - a Boomer's Guide to Retirement Survival' ".

Book Review:

"filled with wisdom, understanding, and insights gleaned over a lifetime. It truly has something (indeed, lots of things) for everyone... This is an outstanding work, with a remarkable contribution to offer every reader". M. Leach, professional editor.
"His subjects are certainly timely and the parallels he draws are brilliant and even poetic at times". Lynn, Strategic Book Group
